Chasing the Dream of believing in yourself and others through the expressions of creativity.
ANNIE
HAYNES
Annie Haynes is an artist and a professional ASL sign language interpreter who was born and raised in Portland, Oregon where she also raised her family. She loves painting recognizable locations around the Pacific Northwest using vibrant watercolors and acrylics. She also paints unique abstracts that are often like a landscape, or neurographic (working from the outside to the inside), or something that’s like looking through a kaleidoscope with fractured mosaics. Annie’s art business is named after a boat she owned called the Golden Goose Chase, she had the best-ever adventures chasing after the proverbial “Golden Goose". It is still what she strives for: the magic of chasing the dream. Retiring in Anacortes and being a painter is a dream come true.
She sells in Anacortes at the Farmers Market and her art is seen around Stanwood and Camano Island where she participates in the Art in Public Places program. She is also part of the Global Arts Mural program which is permanently placed in Escondido, CA. She has displayed in the 98221 gallery and at La Vida Veggie, in Beaverton, Oregon. She was chosen to participate in "The Wild Bunch" – in Colorado’s Memento Mori Gallery. Her art was also chosen for two publications, the Novum Arts Magazine and The Book of Arts: NOEL.
Annie is thrilled to have joined our family of artists July of 2024. The beginning of September she will participate in the Anacortes Studio Tour which she is looking forward to.
